For little girls, dressing up is all the rage. They love to look like pretty princesses in their dress up clothes. For most girls, Cinderella dresses are their favorite dress in their dress up trunk. Here are a few suggestions to choosing Cinderella dress up clothes that will fit your child well and that will last for years to come.

The Disney Store always has great sales going on. If you plan to go to Disneyland this year, Spring is a good time to purchase a Cinderella dress that is normally very expensive. They have gorgeous dresses for any of the main 5 Disney princesses (Ariel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Belle) in on clearance for 50% off and in the $30-$40 range. They are very fancy and seem to hold up well to dress up play and are made from good quality material. Of course, you can also find matching accessories at the Disney Store as well as princess apparel.

Amazon and ebay are great places to find deals and sales on Cinderella dresses. "Cinderella costume" is a great search term to narrowing it down to just the dresses and not the accessories. However, there are hundreds or thousands of outfits to choose from even if your search terms are narrowed. If you are looking for a bargain, you can find a dress in the $15-$20 range. However, these dresses tend to run very small (1T-3T) and look cheap. In addition, they are generally made with Velcro which snags on the dress. Often, the cheapest dresses are made from thin material that rips easily and is not sewn well. However, if you take your time and look, you may be able to find a quality costume in this price range, especially a gently used one on ebay. You can save a little more by buying online because you save the sales tax.

Walmart and Target are other places you can buy costumes. Beware of cheaply made costumes that you may find at these stores in the $20 price range. The look cute on the shelf, but they are generally itchy, small, and poorly made. Of course, you may find some exceptions to this, but you probably won't find a long lasting princess costumes at your local discount stores.

There are many online retailers that sell Cinderella dress up clothes. You will find thousands of them with a simple Google search! How do you narrow down the possibilities and find a quality dress for a reasonable price? In my experience, Little Adventures dress up clothes are very well made. They are adorable and are fully serged so that the hems and seams don't rip. They have basic and fancy styles, but best of all, they are machine washable. For moms that's a huge bonus! However, the dresses are a little plain, so a fullness slip is recommended under them to make them poof, it really makes a huge difference!

Little Adventures has Cinderella dresses, but also have all of the other princesses like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Ariel, and others. If your budget allows, they have really cute and inexpensive accessories and doll dresses that match exactly and fit 18 inch dolls or American Girl dolls, and Build a Bear.
